In the manual of the tv, it says that it can be used as a pc monitor, but it doesn't come with the lead to connect them.

It says to connect a VGA cable to the tv, and a 15 pin connector to the pc.

Where can i get the wire and connectors to do this?
Do i need anything else?

Thanks

Most TVs can be used as pc monitors, but they need a converter box to convert the kind of signal that monitors use into the kind of signals TV take. Graphics cards with TV out have a converter on the card.

It sounds like your TV has a converter box built in to it.
I think all you need is to plug a VGA extension lead between computer and TV. Make sure that the connectors have the right gender (are they male or female?)

Most computer shops sell leads. Maplin is a bit pricy for computer stuff, but usually has the required cables/ staff who know what you need, Take the TV manual in so they can have a look at it, if you are in any doubt.

You are unlikely to get a picture as clear as you would using a monitor, but that may not matter to you.

You need a TV Box. It converts AV lead to 15 pin connect. Describe it and the salesman from computer do the remaining. Check the box before leaving

Just because you CAN do something doesn't mean you SHOULD do something. But yes, you can do this.

One of the best sources for cables I have found is monoprice, even their standard cables are better quality than "free in the box cables" and their premium cables are almost as good as monster at a quarter the cost.

PC World. You only need a monitor lead, nothing else.
