my skin is oily too and all those things happened to me but then i bought Boots' No7 Mattifying Make-up Base. it gives your skin a matte finish. Its hypo-allergenic, oil free, and won't clog your pores. They sell it at target. good luck :)

First, if you have oily skin, you can use the face cloths that many cosmetic lines have available for purchase. I know that Shiseido has a very good one. If you use that once, or even several times a day it will help control the oil on your skin. Next, what brand of eyeliner are you using? It really doesn't pay to buy cheap cosmetics, because they aren't going to work, and you're going to end up buying different cheap brands trying to find something, when you could have paid for the higher end cosmetic in the beginning and saved yourself a lot of hassle. If you are already using a quality eyeliner, what are you using for skincare? Again, the high end makeup lines also sell skincare. You can purchase an entire line for oily skin and prevent problems with both your eyeliner and the rest of your makeup. Many people think that the makeup is the problem, but often the root of the problem is that the skin itself is not being cared for properly.

There are two steps to this, both very easy - one in the morning, one at night.

Morning: When you're in the shower, wash your eyelids with any ol' regular yellow-colored baby shampoo. Just put a drop of baby shampoo in your hands, rub your hands together then wipe the shampoo over your eyelid (keeping your eyes closed, of course.) As you know, there's no sting with baby shampoo.

Night: Use OcuSoft Lid Scrub Original Formula Eyelid Cleanser pads. It takes off all the old makeup and oil, debris and dead skin.

Both products can be found at any drugstore.

This regimen is fantastic -- I wish I had known about it sooner.
I am sure it will work for you, too! :-) It will help your makeup adhere better, as well.

Make sure your eye is completely closed so it does not burn and just swab your eyelid with rubbing alcohol before you apply the makeup. The alcohol will dry up all the oils for a nice dry canvas. It works. I have done it. Your eyes might sting for a sec if you accidental get some in there but it will go away in a sec. Beauty is pain!

i have the same problem!

I haven't quite found the solution to that problem, but i found that i m basically stuck to One kind of eyeliner. I use Cover girl black eyeliner pencil, and before i apply it i burn the tip for just a second with a lighter. It helps it go on darker and stay on longer. it eventually starts to run but it lasts a few hours, i just touch up when i see its starting to give out. Liquid eyeliner will stay on longer but even then its hard to find the Right one. Avon used to make one that i LOVED and then they discontinued it, so i m stuck with cover girl pencil. i mean its cheap so i dont mind but i d like to change it up a bit, sometimes u know?

but yeah i feel your pain.

Get Arbonne's "personalizer". This product controls the oil and redness issues. It works so well! You put it on before you apply your moisturizer. It can be used with or without make up.

On the days you decide not to wear make up, just wash your face, pat on the personalizer, then apply your moisturizer. It will prevent your face from shining and looking red. It works great! I use it all of the time.

Get it here:

this tip might just help, I hope so. before you put on make up try rubbing on a little mineral power just on your eyelids first.
Have you though about it could be way you are putting on eye liner. If you are running it across you eyelid this might not be working for you. Try doing this and see if this helps! Just place small dots next to each other not connecting them. models do this quite often. It makes eyes appear more open and for me it works better than just a stright line. It for some reason seems to work better for me. Hope you find out what works best for you. You might really want to try going to a salon or make up place like lamcon or clinic to see if they could really help you. by

Are you talking about liquid eyeliner? Because the pencil eyeliner has some oils in it already. So added to your own oils doesn't help the situation out any.

I have the same problem, although mine is mostly on the bottom lids. And liquid eyeliner runs even faster for me on the bottom!

I'll keep a watch on this one! Thanks!
