The people would have to ammend the Constitution.

Then the law would be part of the Constitution, and therefore Constitutional.

Remember the Majority is not always right. Part of the job of the Constitution and the Supreme Court is to protect the rights of the minority. History shows that unlimited majority rule can lead to tyrrany and abuse.

Actually, the Congress can pass a law stating that the courts have no authority to rule on a matter. Unfortunately, this is not used enough.

Other than amending the constitution, nothing. It is the Supreme Courts duty to interpret the Constitution. there is no higher authority on that matter.

Get our 'perfumed' Congresspeople to write another law, more in keeping with the guidelines issued by the Court - if that doesn't work, hang it up. The majority of the 'people' can say that they want to burn NY to the ground (just an example -don't get in a whirlwind over it!) but that doesn't make it right. Does it? Life can be frustrating, can't it? Oh well, enjoy your Memorial Day weekend - and please say a prayer for our troops and their families!

A constitutional amendment. Get congress to pass an amendment. This makes the law constitutional.

Amend the Constitution. Get folks together just like in prohibition like Carrie Nation did and bring pressure on both Houses of Congress, and then on state legislatures to get them to prohibit or allow whatever it is you want. Of course if its a bad idea, like prohibition, the effort will have to be repeated to undo the amendment, like prohibition.
