IF so many states have adopted this new policy and there are commercials everywhere, Why are there SO MANY pictures of Pres. Busch driving his pickup WITH NO SEAT BELT???

Why does he get away with it, when i got a ticket while driving in a Grocery store parking lot for not wearing mine?

FOR THE RECORD...i don't rag on the president. I was just wondering why every picture that i see him driving in hes not wearing a seat belt. If he makes and enforces the law don't you think he should abide by them to let other people know he supports himself!?

Come on....He's country folk....

Just like Britney Spears said when she was spotted driving without a belt of baby seat.

They share the same brain!

Isn't a grocery store parking lot private property? But isn't it also a good place to belt up for they distracted shoppers wandering around the lot. You wouldn't want to break your legs or fly through the windshield if you had to suddenly hit the breaks. I've been driving a long time and there were no seat belts as standard equipment on cars. It took me awhile to remember to always buckle up. I had a jeep with roll bars to protect me if it rolled over and they do sometimes. If you don't wear a seat belt the roll cage isn't going to do you much good because you will be throwen out and hurt or killed. Take two marbles and put them in a box. Tape one marble to the bottom and shake the box. The tapped down marble won't move, the other marble... well you don't want to lose your marbles do you?

Good ole boys turned President appear to be exempt from the laws that everyone else has to follow....typical isn't it?

Doesn't matter if you're on private property or not, as far as I'm concerned. If you're behind the wheel, and the motor is running, your seat belt should be in use. Period. End of story. Doesn't matter if you are the President, the Pope, an everyday Joe, or Jesus himself....okay - maybe not Jesus. Point is, IT'S THE LAW and everyone from the homeless to the President should use the seat belt because it saves lives.

But that's just my humble opinion. :-)

When he is driving his pickup truck and the photographers are out there getting pics, it's just him driving around on his ranch in Texas. He's not likely to hit another vehicle or get into any major accident in that environment.

Geez louise, the NJ governor was just almost killed because his truck was SPEEDING down a highway, got into an accident, and he wasn't wearing a seatbelt. Why didn't you use that as an example - so much more appropriate. Or are you just looking for one more thing to rag the president about?

The point of showing the president w/o a seat belt is to illustrate that he to must abide by the law. Hopefully he will get the message and become a better role model !

The seat belt law applies to public areas. Bush's pictures are of him at his ranch (private property).

Those pictures are staged for the publicity just like those pictures of people walking on water or flying without a plane. They are not to be taken seriously.

Those pictures are of him driving on his own personal ranch. You can't get a ticket on private property.

Did you know the insurance companies paid off the politicians to get that law passed? Think about it.

Because he is president, he gets away with anything he wants, waisting our tax dollars, killing our loved ones, ya know anything the "good ol boy wants to do."
