17 is my favorite number. It has been since my freshman year in high school.
My friends and I were walking in the *upper classmen* hall and as we passed a certain cheerleaders locker, she had the #17 on it. For some sort of Spirit thing...anyway, I decided that I liked the way it looked, so I took it off her locker and put it on mine...and 17 has been my favorite ever since.
The really weird thing about this is.....we lived in a verrrrry small town......now we live in yet another verrrrry small town, this ex-cheerleader and I.....we're both grown up, have families....and two years ago, at the pool one day I asked her if she remembered when the 17 disappeared from her locker and she said yes....I told her it was me and why I took it.....she thought it was hiliarious and admitted that back then, she probably would've been pi&&ed off about it....but now.....it was funny....we have the same first name, so normally when we see each other we're like *Hi X* *Hi X*.....now I say, *Hi X* and she goes *Hi 17*.......
