The ones on the linkage are for idle speed and choke or high limit speeds and the one on the carb is mixture---call a repair shop with your brand, model number and serial number and they can tell you how to adjust the mixture.....usually, it's adjusted as follows--- keep track of where the screw is positioned to start with and turn the screw 1/4 turn at a time one way till it starts to slow down, turn back the other way 1/4 turn at a time till it does not seem to speed up any more and turn it back half way between the two points or just turn it to get the highest rpm by the sound of the engine....will get you close. But keep track of where you start turning the screw in case you need to start over....very important.

If it's not broke don't try to fix it! If it has come out of adjustment from vibration, call the 1-800 number to the company you got it from they can tell you how many turns out they are supposed to be for optimal performance. If you just want to make it go faster, no adjusting will make it go faster, that is a function of the governor.
