I try to adopt change that make sense and adds value to some aspect of life. The older I get, however, the less sense a lot of current change makes and the more I stick to the tried and tested. And the odd thing is that more and more 'change agents' are advocating things that were the old ways - like the Blair Social Something or other Guru (the one who told a police conference she often got pissed - nice) who has discovered 'good manners' as a key to better behaviour. Ye Gods.

I'm not a big fan of change, but I find the older I get the more I realize that to stand firm is to stand still. So like it or not I have been trying to be more open and accepting of change. For instance I'd never been online until Jan. of this year, now I am on just about everyday and I love the easy access to information.
Knowledge is never a bad thing so I do try to stay open to the new ways, but hang on to the things (like the Golden Rule) that never change.

I have changed so many times throughout my life. And it's always good to change your ways from time to time. There was a huge change in my life 5 years ago and now there is another huge change. I think they were positive and welcomed as well by others (I was worrying them with my old ways)

Some of us have no choice - after all age doesn't come alone and some of us can't even think about doing stuff we used to. If you don't change a bit you get bewildered by the new world so it's good to change but in your own time.

I think a little change is a good thing but it shouldn't be a major change or too fast.

It doesn't matter whether it's good or bad, we have no choice but to change with the times. Our survival, literally, depends upon our doing so.
When I say that, however, I do not mean at all that we are required to abandon our core principles. In fact, I believe that our survival, literally, depends upon our not doing so.
