I was at one of those annoying lights at about midnight last night after working a late shift. You know, it's not a smart light so I had to sit there for two or three minutes despite the fact I was the only car in sight. I went ahead and ran it--I needed to get home and get to sleep!

Never. Then again, the only time I've driven was when I was taking driver's ed. But then I didn't take the test and never got around to getting one and I get along just fine without one, although I do get a lot of "What, you mean you don't have a driver's license?" and "So how did you lose it... drunk driving?" questions.

I have, however, crossed the street against a red light,

One time I sat at a light waiting to turn left. It was a light at the off ramp of a free-way, right before you turn onto a normal road. So I waited and waited, it cycled through like 4 or 5 times, but never turned green for me. Finally I just went through, I never did see when it turned green.

The only time I can remember running a red light as years ago. My hubby was having a bad asthma attack and starting to turn blue. Like you, not a smart light. I stopped, checked traffic and left.

Yes, but I didn't see it, I was looking at the next light signal which was green. I got pulled over but didn't get a ticket, I just got asked out by the cop and we dated for about 2 years!

I have once, but it was on accident because I was talking to my mother and forgot there was a light there. (I was in a big city where I rarely drive). I was lucky no one was coming because it was the middle of the afternoon. I think it's better to just wait. You never know when there will be a camera there waiting to catch you.

i do it all the time during the night when there are no cars insight. it feels too stupid to wait for the green light when there is no one else around.
such traffic lights should be switched off at particular times

Yes, in the same situation you were.... If you look to all directions and there isn't a soul anywhere to be found, I don't think is bad.

No, cuz I can't drive yet, but my momma has. She ran over a squirrel too, so don't even worry about it :)
