The occasional misspelling is okay, and I'm guilty of that because I type quickly/sloppily at times. But totally butchering the language makes me nutty. Making something plural by adding a "z" is pure crap. And all the Instant Message b.s. that people believe should fly in all aspects of life. No way, that's crap, too. Wow, I guess I'm pretty particular about it and it does bother me more than I realized! Hope to god nothing here is spelled incorrectly.....LOL

If you are talking about on here yes! That is what the spell checker is for! The ones who try to spell like they are going to text you a message drive me crazy to. I don't do that either. If I have something to say I pick up the phone and call and say what I have to say I don't like answering things I have to pick through to try to understand the message.I understand if someone's English isn't good , that is differnet but someone who is or was born here should have a grasp of the language and the includes teens .

If there are one or two mistakes, it doesn't bother me.
On YA though, if the whole question is riddled with mistakes, it simply demonstrates that the questioner is not making much of an effort. It is so easy to use spell check before submitting anyway.

Yes, if only because I have seen the selection process in a very well known multinational company over a number of years.
The incorrectly spelt applications went straight into the bin.
Harsh, but when confronted with over 100 applications for every post, the most direct methods were used for the initial sift.

Not "really" bothered, sometimes it does fit or is the shortcut and I think that's fine. But here, especially, there is really no excuse for it. I, personally have access to 3 spell checks, one in Yahoo and two in my browser. One is automatic, the word is underlined, I click it and the correction comes up.
I think it reflects their laziness more than lack of intelligence.

As long as I can get the gist of the question, then it is not a problem.
Although I sometimes wonder why people don't click the spell check, but no, I really don't mind unless they are being a wise *** and then I kindly point out that before you attack others, get your own house sorted out first!!

Depends. Most of the time it doesn't bother me but if they are spelling inncorrectly because they can't be bothered to spell right then it does. If it's like:
'hey bbz wubu2? i fink dats kl' etc.
I don't mind if they don't know how to spell a word properly

If you want to get your point over in an intelligent and worthwhile way then good spelling is important.Bad spelling just shows slapdash way in the amount of effort put into answering.
