Is it true that they're made up from the nasty leftover bits? What about frankfurters?

That did it ! Turned off sausages and frankfurts for life. A part of me doesn't really want to do this but I have to give you a star.

Don't know about frankfurters but yes, proper sausages have all sorts of "bits" in them. Anything remotely edible is ground up and used.

No most company use nothing but the meat since they know the law suite and bad press would cause them to go out of business

Don't know. Doesn't matter. I love sausage and will continue to eat sausage regardless of what kind of lips are in it. lol
