I mean is he letting the price of gas go up and watching us suffer?

Is he playing with our tempers and trying make us spend more on gas? Where are we gonna get the money to pay for this high price?

This is not my thoughts, I am just going by what is told. People say that he won't pass a bill that should start new refineries to make the gas price drop. Seems like he wants us to pay higher prices and doesn't care.

Sorry, but it is not GW who sets the price of gas. He has very little to say or do about it. However, your dumbocraps in Congress could do a lot. They could stop blocking more refineries from being built, and they could stop blocking the drilling in places like a small corner of the Arctic Circle where there are years of supply.

As for the rest of our finances, the economy is in excellent shape partly because of the policies of GW.

GW is not perfect...God knows his stance on criminal (illegal) immigration is idiotic! Throw in that if he had any real balls, we would not have stopped shock and awe until the war was over, because he would not have caved to those idiots who think that a WAR cannot have one innocent death.

But I am certainly glad that Kerry is not in there, and equally glad that Al (convince the public to buy carbon credits from my company while I waste as much energy as humanly possible) Gore.

It is not Bush who does not want refineries...it is the liberals in Congress. I do not know who you are listening to, but stop...they are uninformed.

So I'm guessing you want Bush telling you more about how you MUST live your life? Ie: bigger government. You can't have it both ways. You whine and cry and carry on so about your perceived loss of freedoms with the Patriot Act but you want to turn over 100% of your personal decision making process to the federal government. I think you are confused. Perhaps you should park that gas guzzling behemoth SUV. Personally, I'd like to see Detroit stop the expensive retooling every year to bring me a brand new design of a car I neither asked for nor wanted. Volkswagen, Saab and Checker all built the same cars for decades and people bought them, Volkswagen tried go in a different direction, still they had to go back to that same basic car they'd been building since the 1930s. Think of the money that could be saved.
More government? Thanx, I'll pass.
It also occurs to me, it was Jimmy Carter and his EPA that put an end to the construction of new Gas/Oil Separation plants in this country. Not a single new one in the last what? Thirty years? For the guy who the other day was running his mouth about Bush's administration being the worse in history... How many more of Carter's "foibles" (read myopic mistakes) must Bush correct? There was the gutting of the CIA -- lead to 9/11, Afghanistan and the misintrepretation of intel that lead us into Iraq. And now the gas prices... Thanx Mr. Carter!

o.k. sweetie for the hundreth time, Bush doesn't control the price of the gas, in fact, every summer the price of gas goes up. This is one of the basic pricipals of economics, its called supply and demand. The more the demand of somthing like gas, the less there is of it, and the more you can charge for it. That is why fruit at the grocery store costs more if it is out of season.

As far as where are you going to get the money, skip the manicure and pedicure for a week. Don't go out to eat as often, stay home and cook, its cheaper. A few little penny pinching things you do will make up for the extra you pay at the gas tank. That and don't drive as much!

It's a bit sad but the truth is that no president controls the price of gasoline.

The free market controls the price. The only exception to this is the amount of tax that is being taken by our federal and local governments.

In fact, our government is making a lot more off of each gallon of gasoline sold than are the evil oil companies with their record profits.

So, if you want to blame part of the government, this time it probably shouldn't be Bush, blame the congress who like to sit on their bottoms and rake in the tax money while our pockets go empty.

Regardless of Bush, everyone must reduce consumption and conserve the precious and diminishing resources on this earth named fossil fuel. Use of alternative fuels such as solar, wind, and bio fuel must increase so to end dependency on the Middle East for our livelihood. I long for the day when gas price reach over $6 per gallon in par with what the rest of the world are paying so we can really get serious about conserving and development new technology and stop milking the earth to death. Start by driving less, driving more fuel-efficient vehicle and use mass transit or move closer to wherever you are driving to daily.

What can't get your liberal friends to give you gas money. Get a job
Thank the Liberal loser environmentalist that made it impossible to build new refineries and drill for oil
By the way the Dem's ran on a platform that they would fix the gas prob when elected into both houses
Gas has went up 33% in five months with the Dem's in control
Nice of them to fix it

It is the global market that decides the oil price. As oil runs out the price will continue to rise. Its capitalism's way of telling you that you need to find an alternative to oil addiction. Of course George's antics don't help.
