How do I sample a piece of audio from a dvd to be used on Cubase/Pro Tools etc.?

if u could get the dvd as an avi file,then putting it into cubase you can remove the video leaving only audio and grab ur sample...thats the long way round....

short way...run a lead from the headphone socket on your tv to the mic socket on your pc and grab it!
