I seem to think that this would go to China - they got everything, from technology, a booming economy, skilled people, and respect earned through years of hard work and perseverance.

china has changed a lot both in approach and prosperity. though a communist country, their interference with others is minimum now though in the past it was not so. substantial help is coming for other countries of need. they are being respected for envious prosperity too.
