could I find some hardener at murrays or lowes? Do I need degreaser, any suggestions for that?

Lacquer thinner - for thinning.

No hardner needed

degreaser = PREP-SOL, ANY PAINT BODY SUPPLY STORE

Get all you stuff at the paint and body supply store, your painting a car not a house, lowe's will have nothing.

Most base coats don't require a hardener,don't thin it with mineral spirits.Lacquer thinner works well.
The clear coat can also be thinned with lacquer thinner and does require a hardener.With out it,it won't dry.
The correct products are found at an automotive paint store,Murray might have some.
Mineral spirits work well for grease and wax removal.Wipe it down with clean paper towels.

Your questions need to be answered by the person who sold you the coating. Each paint product uses thinners and hardeners specifically designed to work with that product. And be safe most paint finish when sprayed you will need a respirator to keep from coating your lungs. Surface prep degreaseing and sanding is essential for a smooth shiny finish.

You should get the proper reducer and hardner for your urethane.
Mineral spirits is a degreaser and thinner for oil based house paint. Laquer thinner will cause urethane to dry too fast and will probably cause it to not adhere to the surface.
