there are several videos that i wanted to capture from YouTube, but i cant figure out how to do it. i tried a program once that was called 'greesemonkey' --but that didnt work, it wouldnt let me view the video once i got it... any suggestions?

First, if you don't have Firefox, get it. Then download an add-on called "Video Downloader", install it. To download, watch a YouTube video, and there should be the VideoDownloader icon down the bottom of your browser, click on that and a popup will appear. Click "Download Link" and it should start downloading. The file will be called "get_video". Rename it to whatever you want, with '.flv' on the end. Now, you need an FLV Player to watch it, or you can use a program called "Total Video Player", which plays just about every video format. To convert it to a different format, use "Total Video Converter", which can even convert it into an .mp3 format.

All programs are easily found using a search engine.

I'll go with Faith & Misery. Get firefox and videodownloader. Alternative for Firefox is Flock, which also has videodownloader for its extension.

you can use a video grabber so you can download the .flv video first and then you can convert it (if u want) to another extension with another program
