Im moving soon and want to renew alot of my appliances, not sure whether to stick to traditional white (kettle, toaster, washing machine, fridge ect ect) or to go for a more modern silver finish. Who has either and are you happy with your choice?

silver definitely because white gets dirty so quickly and silver looks so much more stylish. But at the end of the day it's your choice. Good luck in your new home. Hope I've helped you make a decision.

It's traditionally called 'white ware' or white goods.

So, although silver is fine, what will you do in a few years time when fashion trends change and you won't necessarily have the funds to change should you wish to do so?

Why not go for white fridge washing machine cooker etc and a different choice for smaller electrical goods like a toaster that will not last that long anyway?

Good moning.

I live at home still, we have a white washer and dry. The things in the kitchen like the fridge dish washer stove and oven are stainless steel. The toaster and coffee pot are a silver color too. We like it and this lets you vary the other colors in there eaiser like linnens or even pots and pans.

I have a mixture of silver and white as it is too expensive to get all new and with the odd blue item in my kitchen i think it all looks good. Too much of one colour would be awful.

the way my kitchen is done I can get away with both colours ,my fridge and microwave is white, gets dirty easily ,everything else is brushed stainless steel so it doesn't mark.recently bought a new kettle in stainless steel, and gees it gets so hot and stays hot for ages compared to your plastic white which are cooler to touch.Good-luck with your choice.

I'd go white. It is more traditional, while silver is trendy, and could change in a year or two.

I think you should blend the two. Depending on your appliances, make the bench gray and the walls white. Gray walls are boring and so clinical.

depends on your kitchen finishes like what's the color of you kit. walls cupboard etc...you have to match them. white & silver can go together...natural wood tables could also g with stainless steell furnitures...

good luck
