The law says smoking is banned in ENCLOSED public spaces only, therefore there's nothing stopping you sparking up outside the pub, in a beer garden or somewhere like that. You don't need to give up! Better still, stay in, it's cheaper and you can smoke as much as you like!

why dont you want to give up ?

you should, thtas the whole point of the ban, to teach people there are no good sides to smoking apart from relaxing then coming round later and having the worries all over again

try nicotine patches or something

Why not give in now gracefully.Increasingly smokers will be socially ostracised and will not be welcome anywhere.Even in the street people will avoid you as though you were a leper or had the black plague. When you get on a bus or train they will sniff and liken the tobacco smell to poor personal hygeine. You will become an outcast. So to rejoin the majority of society give it up.
