when setting up a router is it as easy as just setting it up thru pc and modem?

cause im going to connect the pc to the modem then router then i can share the internet with my ps3 right? do i have to call my internet company or i can just set it myself? and will i be able to still use the internet on the pc if im using the internet on my ps3? please help!! and please only give advice related to this thanks :D sony ps3 router pc internet modem

Well the router should connect to the modem and your machines to the router. Setting up the router is usually very straight forward.. you can do it with a computer web browser in most cases.. no software needed.

All machines will then SHARE the internet. The more machines that are connected the slower the internet speed will be because it is divided to all machines. But all can use it at the same time.

As far as the ISP is conncerned you still just have ONE connection so calling them is noramally unnecessary.

you need may need to install the software b4 you hook up the router.
get your pc hooked up to the internet then plugin your ps3
did you look on the ps3s web site first?
