I don't break them because I never followed them in the first place! Who are these people to tell me :
-When to say I love you!
-When to buy flowers!
-When to plant a tree!
-When to stop smoking!
-When to give a present!
-When to bring my own wine!
I could go on like this...
I do what my heart tells me not what my tv says!

Well, I've always believed that traditions are usually made for good reasons and with a purpose in mind but somehow they can always be questioned because certain aspects of the tradition being a bit too old may not always suit or appeal to the younger generation so to preserve it sometimes it becomes quite necessary to change or modify them. So I would say I usually don't break tradition but rather try to follow them with a rational mind that's whatever I believe worth following I usually follow them and whenever I feel the need to question or change something, I do that as well. And often by doing so it always helps me to be traditional as well as rational at the same time.

I would only follow a tradition willingly if it made sense to me, but so far i havent come across any traditions that make sense to me, at least in the culture that i´ve grown up in so i would have to say, i break them.
