my husband was defending himself last night and pulled out an unregistered gun on the indiviual that was about to hurt him. do you think he will serve any time?? also the gun was registered in md but he pulled out the gun in dc.

If it is his first offense he will probably not serve time. How stupid is he to carry around a concealed weapon? Was he drinking? Sounds like he must have been impaired to get himself into this situation. He is lucky no one was hurt. I hope he has learned a lesson.

Next time he is stupid enough to get into an argument like that the best way to "defend himself" would be to walk away like a man instead of wielding a gun like a cowboy.

Sounds like he's going to be in trouble. You should have posted this question in the laws category. That way someone that knows about this sort of thing. And hangs out at that section and sees it. Might be able to know.

did he have a concealed weapons permit, Your Husbands not that smart by doing illegal things like carrying a concealed weapon and hanging out with the wrong crowd. I think he needs some time to learn to be a good citizen! and pick his hangouts better!

If his life was threatened it shoul be ok. As long as he has no felonys on his record.
I live in Florida and thats how it works here anyway.
I have a conceal and carry permit and thats what we learned obtaining our permit.

wow, is he dead ? i dont know us law but i see on movie there is excuse if you defending your self. the better way, you must report to the official police and tell the story.

who knows shouldnt use a gun not really good thing to use as a defence

depends on the attorney/if he had a concealed permit or if he can prove it was in self defense.
