It amazes me that only 30% of us can flare our nostrils, I am in the 30% that can.
I would appreciate it if you could spend a couple of seconds to comment on your nostril flaring ability, a simple yes or no will do, also did you know that you could or couldn't flare your nostrils before reading this question.
Try it with your friends its really funny watching how made up people are when they can do it and how frustrated they get when they can't.

Wow, I haven't answered many questions in awhile, but yours really took me by surprise. I can't believe that only 30% of people can flare their nostrils. I thought the number would be WAY higher. Yes, I can flare mine - *flaring now*. I've always known I could, even before I saw your question. The second I read it, I flared 'em!! LOL. I'll bet everyone who reads your question, tries to flare them. That thought makes me laugh.

My nine year old son informed me today the moment he, for no particular reason, discovered that he can flare his nostrils. He was shocked. I told him that I can do it too, but a lot of people can t. We need to check whether his mom can. When this happened, I couldn t remember the last time I had flared my own nostrils:).

I've just tried in front of the mirror and discovered that I can't. I feel really depressed now. Are there nose flaring instructors who can help me with this? What about support groups? And I think there should be a politically correct term for those of us who can't flare - the nasally immobile.
I'm now off to write to my MP to suggest that legislation is brought in to prevent discrimination against those of us who can't flare.

Oh yes!
I can flare my nostrils, and move the tip of my nose up and down.

As far as I know, I can't. But while brushing my teeth one day, I did see my nostrils flare a little bit on their own..
But I have a double jointed thumb. It looks broken when I bend it, for I can bend it backwards, if that counts for anything...

Yes I can flare my nostrils. They flare like mad when I'm yelling at someone.

I can also wiggle my ears while flaring my nostrils
I can cross my eyes
I can move one eye and keep the other one still
I have a very animated face
though it is not a good look
Only try this at home.
