So I am shy but when I see people I say hi and all that and hold doors for people and they don't even notice me and they don't ever say thank you, so when I say hi to someone I know, I have a lot of guy friends, they think I am flirting with them and one of my friends asked me if I was flirting with him I wasn't I just wanted to give him a hug, why can't people understand that?

M, shy is a good thing, it shows u think before u open your mouth. People now days don`t have the same respect if any they had b-fore. Actually when someone doesn`t say x-cuse me or thank you or any thing that has to do w/manners, I say it for them, some people get it, some don`t. When you say hi toa guy it doesn`t mean u are flirting w/him, it`s actually easier to say hi to men,right? As for hugging people, u go girl, alotofpeopleweren`t brought up w/ that same friendly connection, and times it`s not their fault, but u know what you`re doing, if it feels right to u, it`s ok, it`s just that maybe your friends wish they could connect w/people the way u can, but they probably won`t admitt it.

Saying hi, or even hello to anyone is nothing worth being teased about as the above answer you received your friends are rather mature. I do hope your shyness will fade away, you don't want to miss out on that guy that because you shy away continue to speak and talk with people if possible and joyously the shyness will disappear.

People only tease you if they like you. But, don't make yourself a doorman. Continue to greet and hug your friends and don't worry about what other people think or say. Life is too short to get worked up over nothing.

Because people suck. I understand though! It gets better as you get older, because your friends eventualy have to grow up and act at least a tiny bit mature.

Dont mind them, tell them that it's your thing..tell them to do their own thing too or maybe they are just jealous. Maybe your a good lookin person too, that's why they tease you like that.
