Help my 11 1/2 year old son soon to enter middle school in the fall. Has told me he has a girlfriend. what do they even think about at that age about having a girlfriend ?what should i look out for?
I've expressed to him he is not allowed to have a girlfriend but still has her . He says almost everyone in his grade has one and showed me who is with who. the good thing summer is coming but me worry about him entering middle school was one thing but now him having girlfriends is another.

just trust him. during the summer you should meet his gf. i have alot of nephews that say they have gfs and they dont think of what adults think of when they are in a relationship. your son just doesnt want to be left out with his friends that have gfs thats all. nothing to worry about.

Most kids at his age have girlfriends. Don't try to make more of it than it is. They just talk and message each other. It is not a sexual thing. Yet. Give him a couple of more years and then it will be a thing to worry about. My six year old has a girlfriend, that is just the way life is.

That's your kid, you should trust him ifyou really know he wont do such crazy things. It's not bad to have a girlfriend at that age, just tell him to put limitations on it. Dont be to hard on him orelse he might get rebel..you dont want that to happend i guess..??

let your son have fun but make sure you Know were he is going at all times trust me. meat the girl and find out who she is.
