Good 'ol Talisman! Completely random, totally unbalanced, but utterly fun anyway.
It sells for a quite a bit on e-bay, but I'd save your money - its supposed to be reprinted later this year. You can check out the info at:

There are also some other good Talisman style games running around these days, like Prophecy (http://www.boardgamegeek.com/game/8095) which has a similar feel but a neater skill system and more control over movement, and Return of the Heroes (http://www.boardgamegeek.com/game/8170) which has less variety but moves much faster and is a very good game.

Three hours of "should go to the left or should I go to the right?" It wasn't bad back in the day but too many expansions and characters give the game more random elements than a casino. There are so many more and better adventure boardgames out there. Avalon Hill's Mystic Wood for starters.

Aww yeah, I love that game. I lost some of the cards though and couldn't play it anymore. Maybe I'll go on ebay and find myself a new copy :)
