i don't know statistics on the matter and can only speak on personal experience...i have found it quite annoying that i am very much into sex and when i go to my bf he withholds because he says i would have it all the time if he gave it to me...most men i would think would like that but it really is the feeling when having sex with someone i love that affects me so...the rush of it...is intoxicating. I think women have always had this to some point but it isn't a popular thing as you are called a sl*t if you share it...imho

I attend 12 step groups for various addictions, so my experience is personal, not empirical.
That said, I have seen very few (3 in 22 years) women claim to be sex addicts.
It's possible that this is due to societal shaming directed at women who claim their full sexuality, or it could be just a random sample.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
Good luck

Id say that there are many woman that cant get enough of it, being one such woman myself, the problem i think is that many people men and woman alike are still not totally comfortable with woman being that way, i know i would not admit to being as sexual forward as i am, probably due to the fact that knowing other woman in my situation have suffered many insults due to them being so active, we'd be called sluts and whores etc... personally I'm married and have never slept around I'm quite old fashioned in that way, but the amount of times my husband has had to fake a headache is unreal lol.

I am pretty sure its been the same all along. It's just that we are forced to be less open than men about sex. Things are changing though.......

i think its always been the same...but we have to hide it because of the double standard...Women that are more open with it are considered sluts (even if they are not having sex with multiple people) ... my boyfriends roommate used to tease me about it because we were ALWAYS doing ****...i didnt mind him teasing me, but most girls dont like that kind of stuff because contrary to popular belief, guys gossip just as much as girls do.

Addiction is a sin, self-destructive, and is *not* gender-based. Nobody can force another to do anything given the fact that everyone was born with God given free will.

Everybody has it in them to be sexual creatures.
When we excercise these traits freely, it's considered an addiction.
The human species has domesticated itself by suppression of these urges - all in the name of "morality".
