You can translate this holiday into "Whit Sunday" or "Pentecost"
.
Pentecost (Greek: πεντηκοστή [‘ημέρα], pentekostē [hēmera], "the fiftieth day") is the fiftieth day after Passover as defined by Strongs Concordance .

There are Church denominations that define Pentecost as the fiftieth day after Easter Sunday, which corresponds to the tenth day after Ascension Thursday.
It is a feast in the Christian liturgical calendar — symbolically related to the Jewish festival of Shavuot — that commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and the followers of Jesus on that day, as described in the Book of Acts, Chapter 2.
Pentecost is also called Whitsun or Whitsunday in the United Kingdom and other English-speaking areas.

It's Pentecost.
The Holy Spirit descended on Jesus' disciples in tongues of fire and they were able to communicate with people of all languages.

Not sure if you want to know what people do in Germany on that date, can't help. Pfingstsonntag is tomorrow (the 50th day after Easter) and and Pfingstmontag is this Monday.
