It's true.
But you can always test this out by coming for a visit Australia, go out and have a really late night out drinking lots of alcohol and then go out fo a drive the next morning after a nice cold shower and some coffee. We have many random breath testing stations in the early hours in the morning in Australia. I am sure many officers will confirm my answers but you might have to spend the day in a police station trying to tell the officers that it was a Yahoo!Answers research.

False- Coffee doesn't wake you up, it keeps you awake, in other words prevents you from sleeping in the first place. You would need to drink a lot of coffee for that to happen anyway. This is because coffee has caffeine in it which is a stimulant.

True- A cold shower makes you wet... Duh... Unless you meant wet yourself. In which case true again... I don't really know why, but it works!

True- Alcohol stays in the blood stream for many hours, depending on how much you much you have drank!

I think this is true. The only thing coffee does for a drunk is make them a more awake drunk. It doesn't sober you up after a cup or 2. Same thing with a cold shower.

Yes...coffee and a shower does not get rid of your blood alcohol content. You're still drunk after all that.
