Wow..this is a problem we all want to be able to control.
Your body usually regulates your period for the usual 28 days...bulding up a uterous with blood rich tissues & releases your egg about in the middle...each person's cycle of days may be different or even irregular. The "Pill" works wonders for those who are irregular...20 pills of hormone dosage & 10 pills of sugar to release your period. One way to adjust your period is to go on the Seasonale contrceptive pill...it goes 81 days period free...then 10 days for period...thats only 4 periods a year. Some recent research indicates they have another brand out that will eliminate your period all the time you are on your daily pill. If you have the time call a clinic for a change to this type of pill this could help.
The only other method might be to continue with the real contraceptive pills(if you are on the pill) & not take the "sugar" pills for several days you are with b/f...but this means continuing with a new months supply of pills.
Good luck...i know how that time can be so inconvenient...

Hi there,
There is a medication called Primolut N tablets (which is used in many contraceptive pills). This medication is by prescription only and can be taken one tablet 3 times a day to reduce the flow of your period (make it lighter) or 2 tablets 3 times a day to stop your periods for a number of days up to about 10 days. This can be helpful for a special event etc.
I always keep some for special occasions.
Hope this helps

The only way to delay a period even for a short time is to go on the pill. I would recommend talking to your dr though to see what they think.

They do have medication were you can shorten your period. Loestrin, is what it is now that i think about it. Check that out. If not enough time permits for that and your really excited about seein your boyfriend you could always play in the mud no harm in that. A lot of people enjoy it more that way.

The birth control shot might, but that's a little extreme. I'd delay the trip, or just deal with a mess
