Write to them and let them know you need their letters and support. It is not your fault you are fighting an unjust war. You are still serving your country and doing a wonderful brave service. If they don't respond to your letters I am at a loss to understand their problem. Good luck and God bless you.

God Bless you for serving this country. I don't want to think they are dropping you. I would rather beleive that they are lazy and do not understand how important this for you. It is a lot easier to email or text and if they can not get to you they don't think about it. These are what we used to call fair weather friends and we don't need them in our lives. You have had a few offers for friendship on here take up the offers. God Bless and prayers are with you.

It's a case of 'out of sight out of mind'. I hope your direct family keeps in touch with you on a regular basis. When i saw service overseas in the 1960's i used to send off a letter to the various UK magazines asking for penpals for a lonely soldier and believe it or not i would get a handful of mail every week and sometimes a nice picture as well. my buddies used to wonder how i knew so many girls. A good way of passing the time for sure.

I mean no disrespect in saying this but it is probably through ignorance. Your generation cannot comprehend the importance of that mail/contact/communication. So sorry. Not sure if you mean e-mail or letters. E-mail are so easy to send but letters are--seemingly--so hard to write. People are just too busy to write letters???? My son was there and would laugh because I wrote the same thing to him 5 times. lol You might try asking them for more contact or asking friends to remind the others.
Good Luck and Thank you for your service to our country.

Same thing happened to me when I came back, so I confronted them about it. One said he was afraid to because he thought I had changed...and I guess I did...war does change a man. The other one is really against the war and he doesn't want to hang out on fear that the topic will come up. He doesn't want any confrontation. So, I told him that I understand and will still be his friend and if he changes his mind, give me a call. So, my advice is, confront them about it.

Let them know that you really need to hear from them now more than ever. That you need their support, and WANT to hear all the news from home. Sometimes those left behind don't know how to approach a chat or letter because they don't want to say something to make you miss home even more. I would be honest and contact them.
Thank you for your service to the country. Godspeed and stay safe

Are you sure they completely stopped? Could it be just a lag in the mail service? I would hope that your close friends would support you 110% now, when you need it the most.

"Every soldier has a right to competent command" so said Julius Caesar.
Your friends are worried and silent because your commander in chief is not competent, I suppose.
