My son and his wife have a wonderful marriage, both are successful and are one another biggest fans!
The thing we all find so funny about their marriage is the VOODOO DOLL, they use as a trophy. When one of them does something Funny, Evil then it's awarded to the other person!
My son played a successful joke on his wife he got the doll!
She returned the joke with a little zing to it , She was award the doll!
Other night we went to their home in Pacifica just outside SF, both parents his, hers were their for dinner we stayed the night because we live 2 hours away, her parents live less then 10 minutes away.
My son was kissing his wife passionately (12 years too) and her father said will you 2 ever stop that!
Daughter inlaw said hell no, and told father if they did not come for dinner she would have given son allot more!
Her mother my husband and I started to laugh , her father was less then pleased then she said Ah oh dear it looks like dads going to ground me!

so it looks like their wont be any good times in the near future(no lie) for us!
Her father said "keep it up", my son replied "thats going above and beyond and did you not hear the Surgeon General said if you have a erection for more then 4 hours it could be detremential"! Again we all laughed, then daughter inlaw said my dear mother, and mother in law I think your going to have to go with out GRANDCHILDREN FROM US!
We both protested because the best thing in my life right now is my grandchildren so we asked why? All she started was if we can't have a good time how can we expect to have KIDS!
Her mother hit her father in arm, said "give her back her good time"!
My son laughed and went to other room and brought out the VOODOO doll& awarded it to her saying "she must not give it a pock in anger or she'll lose one in love KARMA!
I wonder how a VOODOO doll helps their marriage? They got nothing but love for each other.
ANY IDEAS on this?

It seems to me that they both have found a way to keep the love and fun in their marriage.
It could be anything but it just so happens to be a doll. If they passed back and forth a vase of flowers no one would think anything of it but they have chosen something that they can both giggle about later.
It also seems that since it is something that they can see, touch and feel it is a constant reminder to play, joke and have fun with each other.
Good for them and I wish them all the luck in the world.
p.s. and I wish you many many grandchildren!!!

He can't speak to you. His family seems to have given him a second chance. The love they showed when he left won him back. It does not sound like he wants to come back to you. My heart cries out for you. I know all too well what you are going through. My soulmate has been out of my life for 30 years and the pain is still difficult to deal with. Some wounds time does not heal. I know it is hard. email if you want to talk. I wish there was more I could do. Invest in your primary relationship na dtry to rebuild it.

They are using the doll to keep the playfulness in their marriage. It helps remind them how much they love each other. You sound like you might be jealous of their lust for life and for each other. Leave them alone and let them enjoy life and love.

i think its really wierd actually. i suggest trying to take the doll away from them without them knowing (you know ''borrowing'') and see what then happens not as a bad thing but just to let them know that they cant love each other through a doll they have to love each other through the love that they share for one another

that is simple enough to see...they both buy into it, they both believe in it, not that the voodoo thing works, but they believe it works for them...hey...why not? other people should adopt similar things, ideas to enlighten, liven up their marriages.
