Used birth control pill different times of the afternoon, currently on placebo pills. Could I get pregnant?

I've used ortho tri cyclen lo for 3 months. For the past 2 weeks I've taken the pill at different times of the afternoon: 2pm, 8pm, 11pm. I even missed one day and took it the next day. I'm now on the placebo pills which are just the reminder pills (I don't even take the placebo pills, I just throw them out, one every day). Could I get pregnant while on the reminder pills if I was inconsistent like that in the past 2 weeks?

Yes it's possible that you could still get pregnant but I would recommend getting in touch with your dr to see what they think.

I can't give you advice first hand but I can tell you my girlfriend has been on the pill for several months now. She would take it all different hours of the day, would have me scared big time. She even missed a day here and there, never two in a row. When she did miss she would take 2 pills the next day to make up which the instructions say to do. The reminder pills she isn't to strict about taking either, i believe she takes them anyways just to reassure me, everything is coo but it's been no big deal. I would say she's been on this type of schedule with her birth control for more than 3 months and everything has been fine so from the sound of things you should be good too. Be sure to read whatever other medication you take though, my girlfriend recently got a prescription for some headache medication and by her accidently reading up on it she found that it interferes with birth control medication. She also has a friend that got pregnant cause of something like that, not doing her research so be sure to read up on whatever else your taking.

yes you can get pregnant. the placebo pills are just to keep you on track but missing the others could help conception. if that's not what u want use condoms for at least a month until the next months supply has been completely taken and correctly taken.

no
