I am !!

I'm proudly American, proudly patriotic and proudly pro-Bush. Yet, am, admittedly sometimes reluctant to admit it because of all the nasty, histrionic, grudge-holding reactions I get from liberals especially, when in a position of having to get along with those same liberals at work, in my immediate neighborhood, etc.

Why are conservatives forced to be the ones to take the higher road and be responsible for maintaining our grace in order to keep the peace and a measure of civility? I am constantly placed in a position of having to mentally roll my eyes while thinking, 'whatever, mister,' instead of speaking my mind.

Why? Because I, sometimes, think that were conservatives to adopt their same tactics, our country would literally be tossed into a civil war !! Agreed?

Perhaps, it's because I live in a liberal hotseat. I'm probably the only conservative in this town !!!

Yes I agree I've said here before that this must be sort of like the lead up to the civil war only this time it's not north and south it's democrat and republican. All the dem talk about impeaching both bush and cheney and letting pelosi take over is equivalent to a coup. The libs went off the deep end when gore lost the 2000 election now they are like a bunch of lunatics the stuff they believe in amazes me. In real life I try just to ignore the hate talk about bush, I've heard it said "what profit is there to best a fool" in other words don't waste time arguing with them. It's hard to let some things go by though without a response, I started out here just looking for real questions to answer but got sick of seeing all the wacko questions and answers so I decided to have some fun with it but in real life it's usually not that fun I think.

First of all, you are not a conservative. True conservatism does not include supporting wars in nations that pose no real threat, conservatism does not support literally racking up billions of dollars in debt each day. George Bush is as big of a liberal as they get, he spends like crazy, is pro war, and supports big government.

You don't defend your position because you do not believe in it. If you truly, deep down believed what we were doing is right and just....you would defend it with every last bit of your soul. Why would you keep quiet if you knew you were right?

You need to forget about party lines, conservatives and liberals...and all the other bullshit the politicians and news networks feed us on a daily basis. You need to look at what is going on in the world...what our country is really doing and why we are in that dirt hole they call Iraq.

A civil war? There are few people in this country that would even stand up and speak their mind let alone fight and die for it! The next civil war we see won't be between liberals and conservatives...republicans and democrats...it will be between the peoples that love liberty, and the cowardly people who love their tyrants.

No. People always disagree when the subject is politics. I am a conservative and proud of it. I will tell anyone. I will challenge any liberal who runs off at the mouth. If you don't have the time or the will to argue with left wing liberal loonies, just tell them they are goofy.

Yes and it mostly happens right here on YA. Censorship is rampant here. Although not a rabid right winger, I'm still Conservative and even I despise the fact that a place that's supposed to be so open to thought can refuse to allow certain discussions.

Maybe it's because Bush is forcing our troops to stay in Iraq against their will and then we hear on the TV that the troops WANT to stay. Maybe some do but NOT ALL!

You see. it's the obvious lying that Republicans constantly do that is turning the country against republicans.

By the way, how do you explain the vast numbers of republicans who voted democrat in the last election?

The fact is they are SICK of Bushco's fiscal irresponsibility and the next election is going to be a whole lot worse for lying republicans.
