What do you do when someone breaks a promise?

I don't know what to do and my bf broke his promise.

First of all, no matter what it was, I wouldn't judge them or let myself become angry until I looked at the circumstance around the reason that led them to act this way.
It sounds hard, and it is because hes your boyfriend and there are lots of emotions going on that are heated, but you need to take a step back, spend some time alone and think about his explanation, and what had led to him breaking his promise, weigh up all the circumstances.
Then decide whether you can forgive or not. But if you do forgive, tell him you wont forget because trust is something you hold dear. Tell him if he breaks his promise again, no forgiving. This kind of stance can strengthen a bond in a make or break way and certainly lays a foundation for what behaviour you expect in the future. Good luck with that : )

keeping a promise is a mirror of a person's character. if a person breaks a promise to me, if they did it on purpose then i never trust that person again. not all promices can be kept but the person making the promise should think of that before making a promise

If it was a big promise or something important he promised about I would wonder if you could trust him. Otherwise if it was about something not so important, let it go. But either way you could question him about it and see what he has to say.

I tell him or her how you feel about breaking the promise, if they keep doing it. Try to get over it. If not just tell them that's is bothering you.

Get over it, please. Not only is it the best thing for your friend, it is the best thing for you. In the future, don't rely so much on people's promises. They may mean well, but quite often cannot follow through for whatever reason.

well wat did they promise u i mean if it is sumthin important then let them speak their reasons then its up to u if u forgive them or not or if they done sumthing to reck ur reputation then thats breaking da law.................
