If hair grows 1/2 an inch per month, and 6 inches per year, then in order for it to be at least 24 feet long, she'd have had to been 48 years old.

The Prince was only 21. Word has it that Rapunzel took that 24 feet of of hair and wrapped it around her face and body so she looked like a hair ball and no one could see her wrinkles. Why do you think she hung around in the watchtower all the time.
And don't waste your time worrying about Rapunzel. Poor Humpty Dumpty still hasn't gotten it all together yet.

The prince had to be light weight to climb up Rapunzel’s hair with out doing much damage to it, so I say he was a 14 year old child and maybe Rapunzel was his mommy?
