hi, i wanna knw tht are there any institutes offering CAR AUTO REPAIR courses in INDIA. i dont want ITI's .....i want to knw if there are some reputed institutes. and if some companies like MARUTI or TATA or any other AUTOMOTIVE COMPANY has any vocational training centre thn plz do tell me if i can get training there by paying money

i want to get hands on experience that is realluy wanna knw how to perform troubleshooting etc. in cars. tht may be diesel or petrol or gas.

Lincoln tech or many colleges serve these cources. also tradeschools and vocational schools have these courses

You will also need to know and understand Electricity for many of the Electrical Diagnoses and repairs. A library has many books on Basic Electricity. They may also carry auto manuals. You will need to invest into purchasing tools.Buy only quality tools that have lifetime warranties on them. Go to a local repair shop and speak with some of the mechanics there.Perhaps you can become friends and he can mentor you. I have 38+ years of experience, self taught. I was ASE Certified after taking there test many years ago. Auto Repair on many of the new cars will require extensive training because of all the new technology.Be prepared to get 'all greasy' as it is not the cleanest occupation.
