The original autopsy results were Stomach cancer. Some people later on speculated that Napoleon was murdered with arsenic poisoning.
However, in 2005, a team of Swiss doctors examined records and testimony, and concluded that Napoleon indeed died of stomach cancer as had his father. This verdict was reinforced only this year in a new study undertaken by the French.
There's no doubt -- Napoleon died of stomach cancer.

Napoleon Bonaparte died of stomach cancer Many believe that Napoleon did not die of stomach cancer, but indeed died from Arsenic poisoning. It was believed that he had been murdered by one whom he regarded as "faithful of the faithful", Comte de Montholon. Comte de Montholon was the head of the household. The Longwood House, which was located on a tiny remote volcanic island of St. Helena in the South Atlantic, where Napoleon established himself when he was exiled after the Battle of Waterloo. After his death, it was found that in the lock of his hairs, there were small traces of Arsenic. It has also been found that Arsenic poisoning was a way of "silently" murdering someone back in the Middle Ages because it was very hard to find the traces of Arsenic after death. The reason why is because giving someone small amounts of Arsenic over a period of time can ultimately lead to death. Some of the members in the household had kept locks of his hair, which was were the arsenic was found. He died on the island of St. Helena

The definitive Book on the Life (and Death) of Napoloen was written by Ben Wieder, one of the Partner/Brothers who own Muscle & Fitness Magazine and all that is associated with it...
Joe lived in L.A. and Ben Lived in, Outremont Montreal , Canada ... Joe was the Body Builder and Ben was the Businessman, and he produced his Book with the assistance of his direct translation of the Diary/Journal/Log Book of Napoleon's Personal Physician ... all the Geniuses that "proved" the Stomach Cancer crapola, which was a spin-off of Napoleon's dad's history, did so for a myriad of very convoluted and political reasons, with the express intent of covering Josephine's fat *** and avoiding taking her to Trial for murder, then lopping off her Dipsomaniacal Syphilletic head, simply because so many people actually hated Napoleon and were glad to see him dead, and the Napoleonic era with him ....... Bonaparte's Grand Nephew Charles, by the way, was the Creator/Designer/Implementer of the united states' Federal Bureau of Investigations ... Go Figure .......

Jack seems to be speaking very authoritatively but he doesn't mention the details of the arsenic poisoning research which was done prior to 2005. Post mortem hair samples were analyzed and found to contain high levels of arsenic. It was concluded his personal physician had killed him. There was further corroborating evidence including a motive for the murder, I believe, but I don't recall the details. This came from an authoritative source such as the National Geographic. I would hesitate to dismiss the poisoning scenario too fast.

Napoleon died of stomach cancer. That's why in all those portraits of him you see him with his hand tucked in his coat clutching his stomach. For years it had been speculated that he had been poisoned and he wrote an accusation of poisoning in his will but autopsy results conculded it was stomach cancer.
