Well you will need to ROUTE the connections. You can use one computer with two eithernet cards and then use internet connection sharing. (In this manner the connection comes in to the first machine on one card -- the second card connects to the hub -- the other machines connect to the hub --- all internet traffic is routed by the first machine)

The best solution would be to get a router to use and pitch the hub or use it to expand the routers connections. (It sets up Cable modem to router ---- router to all machines) The router then manages the connections.

You need a router. Plug the WAN port of the router into the broad band RJ 45 terminal. Plug the LAN port of the router into the hub. Plug the pcs into other hub ports.

Configure router to provide LAN IP addresses using DHCP (see the router set up). I presume you have a dynamic IP from the ISP so set the router WAN for a dynamic ip.

Reboot both the modem from the ISP and the router.

Configure all pc lan connections to obtain ip address and dns address automatically, close out of th elan connections and reboot pcs.

You should be live now.
