The Yankees are currently tied for last place with about 100 or so games left. I 100% gaurentee that they will not catch the Red Sox and they have to make up an 13 game deficet to get to Second there only possible chance at the playoffs. and then they have to be better than all the other second place teams. I mean come on tied with the devil rays. Why don't they give up and try again next year.

I am not blank enough to think that. The Yankees are done for the year. They need to make wholesale changes starting with the manager. Signing the Rocket does not help. He will create more dissension on the team with his ridiculous contract. A-Rod must go as well.

Yankee fans are smart enough to know that there is alot of baseball left to be played and the history tells us "it aint over til it's over". Unlike Red Sox fans that lose faith in their team after losing 2 out of 3 to Yanks, but still have a 10 game lead. What a bunch of bi-polar rollercoaster riders.

They won't even be playing by September. They will be 20+ games behind the Sox, and won't have a chance at the Playoffs, they won't be playing to win, they'll be playing to end the season.

Not I !! The fact is they will not be in post season play in the foreseeable future until and unless they dump some of their overpaid "superstars," start a rebuilding program, and concentrate through trades and/or player development to improve their pathetic pitching.

Chow!!

I don't see the Yankees there. Even if they get to the Wild Card, they'll have same problem again, they'll run into good pitching, their bats will go cold and their own pitching won't hold up.

Yeah. The Sox have nowhere to go but down. They fall apart at the end of every year. Whats to say they wont this year too.
