I haven't had this error, but I have an idea...
This sounds like something that is being generated from the web and more than likely a spammer of some sort.
I strongly recommend that you download Lavasoft Adaware and Spybot Search and Destroy...update them, and allow them to get the malicious software off of your computer.
I believe that this may be your problem, simply because I'm almost paranoid when it comes to that and I keep my computer clean as often as I think about it...
Do that and let me know how that works for you...
Oh yeah, and please do ensure that you're using a firewall. If you're using Microsoft's built in firewall, then make sure that you stay up-to-date...
Hope that helps...

Can't give exact answer but I have had this too. Here is my explain.... Without getting more info I will tell you that you have DSL or Broadband. (now that's when I started getting the problem) I THINK it's because the broadband/dsl modems are always on so it can't read (going back) so it gives the error. It's reference to info in memory that is not their when you closed the page. you won't get it if you backspace or type in a new address in that screen. But you will if you close it you will. I don't close the windows unless it's secured or personal information In the window (like if you go online to check you bank balance, you should close that window.) But if you are just going to another site, say from autozone to ebay, you can just type ebay.com in the address bar or use its drop down box. This may not be the answer you are looking for but it is how I get the problem to not show up. It is not a error on your computer so you don't have to worry about it. Maybe you can check your browser for updates to fix this error. Hope this helps

I get the same thing at times. My feeling is that it's something on a page you viewed that isn't compatable with Internet Explorer, or it's something malicious on a page that's trying to hijack your home page or make Explorer do something nasty as it closes but Explorer is refusing to do it, so no sweat.

It's a Java thing. IE7 & Java don't seem to get along. If you notice, it only happens when you previously get an error box that "the java runtime coud not load" or something like that.
Use Firefox, install java from Firefox, and problem solved.
