Only if the item has more than 24 hours to go, can you get the auction stopped. if you have 23 hours 55 minutes you cant stop it as ebay block you.
If your item has bids, you will have to give a good explanation to ebay why you want to terminate the auction, Any bidder who has a bid on your item could log a complaint against you for ending the auction early.

If you want to end your listing and still sell it to someone who's emailed you, be careful because you'll be trading 'off site'.
Be ESPECIALLY careful if the item is a mobile phone, laptop or other higher value item - scammers love these (they send you fake ebay and paypal emails to say they're holding money - it isn't true.)

Click on help. #2 top question is end my listing early. Fill out the form. Make sure you cancel any bids placed first, or you'll have to sell to the highest bidder.

you can only do it under certain circumstances. Go to the ebay rules board and search for "ending early" and it'll tell you the details.

dont listen to them above its so easy
Click on the arrow next to sell similar on your item
then click on end promotions.
And then give reason
its as easy as that
