I'm going to a wedding next Saturday. i have no clue what to wear. I only have time to shop tomorrow morning for the dress, shoes, and whatever else i need. I don't know the bride very well, they are my coworkers. They're very religious (christians) and this is the first Chinese wedding I've ever been to. I don't know what to wear. I don't know if their wedding will be Chinese style or american because the both grew up in America. And I'm 17 and I don't know what's appropriate for my age. I'm in Taiwan and my mother is in California so she can't help me and I don't have any friends here. Please if someone could tell me what I should wear or give me some advice that would be great.

Since you are young, a classic (meaning it would have been appropriate 30 years ago or 30 years from now) dress, about knee length, pastel perhaps, sleeveless if it is very warm, or cap sleeves, medium height shoes that pick up the color of the dress, a clutch purse (not one that would have room for the kitchen sink!). Keep the neckline modest and dress should not be tight. Sit down in the dressing room with the dess on and see how it looks in the mirror. It should be comfortable to wear and you should feel pretty in it. But above all, do NOT upstage the bride. This is HER day, not yours.

Relax go to the shops talk to the assistants and have fun. Get a nice elegant dress with matching shoes.

Just remember rule number 1 at weddings; NEVER OUTDO THE BRIDE.

So don't go too short, too sexy or over accessorise. You can't go wrong with simple elegant classic styles.

First off...do not worry TOO much, because people will be watching the bride and will probably not notice what other people are wearing.

Go with something simple, that compliments your body type but is not tight or revealing.

I hope that is some help.

ok, heres the deal, so long as you avoid the followering colours you cant go TOO far wrong, no black or white , beige or cream , ivory or silver. No hat or cleavage everything there on is exceptable

I THINK A RED DRESS WITH SOME GOLD WOULD DO JUST FINE. WHILE SHOPPING , YOU COULD ALSO ASK THE SALES PERSON.
