In New York state, the girl has to be under 17 (16 and under) and the guy has to be 17 or over. Then he can indeed be charged and convicted. It's your parent's decision to make, you are under the age of consent.

Possibly - it depends on the state and what the age of consent is there. In my state its 17 - it also depends how much older he is than her and how young she is.
For ex in my state if a 18/19 year old got a 16 year old pregnant it would considered "sexual misconduct" - this is a much lesser charge than statutory rape or a sexual abuse charge and there is no jail time. They would be charged w this due to the closeness of their ages.
If an older man - say 26 got a 16 year old pregnant that would be statutory rape and if the girls was under 15 it would be a sexual abuse charge - both would be registered sex offenders though at different levels and they would most likely get some jail time.
If the man was 18,19, 26, 50 whatever and the child is 13 or under he would be considered a pedophile and he would be a level 3 sex offender - the "worst" level.
But this all varies by state.

MOST STATES NO! ALSO IT DEPENDS ON THE AGES 17 AND 19 FOR EXAMPLE VS 14 AND 19! If very close in age when pregnancy involved all states do not want another fatherless child in the system if the father is willing to be a part of the child's life, work and help support the mom and baby then no problem. You need to give exact ages of the couple for the right advice. Do not listen to those ignorant enough to believe it automatically means charges can be filed. Somehow they never See the numerous postings of age of consent law charts on this forum showing for the most part 16+ may consent to sex and no charges can be filed.

Depends on the laws in your state.
If you live in Arizona, California, Florida, North Dakota, Oregon, Tennessee, or Wisconsin the age of constent for a female is 18.
If you live in Colorado, Illinois, Louisiana, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, New York, or Texas the age of constent for a female is 17.
Every other state the age, including DC, (except for SC) the age of constent for a female is 16.
In South Carolina it's 14.

No... as long as you live in Australia the legal sex age for females is 16 so as long as you are over 16 you can not get in trouble. your parents can not press charges either. I was 14 when I left home to live with my boyfriend and there was not a thing any one could do. my parents called the police welfare any and every where they could but as long as you are living in a safe environment once your 13 that's it, they cant do a thing. On the same note don't take this to be as its OK to do things like that I made a lot of mistakes some so big they almost cost me my life. I just happened to be one of the lucky ones and pulled my head back in to place. now 7yrs later I am married 33wks pregnant own my home and I am settled and happy. Not every one is that lucky.

Probably not prison, but if the parents or the state want to press charges they can. And you would have to register as a sex offender. I think you the two involved should talk to the parents ands come to a decision together. And maybe you should use more per-caution!

It depends on how much younger than 18 the girl is as well as what state she is in. The age of consent varies from state to state. However IF she is living under her parent's roof and she is their dependent they CAN press charges against him even if she is over the age of consent for their state simply because they ARE her parents and she is STILL their minor child.
