because sometimes we tend not to take things easy.

For the simple fact that whoever was smart enough to design said things thought it made perfect sense to them, and since seeing through someone else's eyes is a luxury most people don't have, they figured if they understood it, why would anyone else have trouble?
Or if you mean socially, it stems from the fact that our nature (as animals) is in conflict with our ability (as humans) to use rational thought and form the words "I am"
Instinct for instance tells us that our primary goal in life should be to find a partner of the opposite sex, produce a child, then attempt to raise that child and teach it enough to repeat the process.
Society however frowns upon chosing anyone for a partner (some societies require certain breeding characteristics, others require certain social origins and such), Thus we see a prime example of Instinct being in conflict with Rational Thought and society.
Finally, if you mean just life in general, Life is complicated because we live on a planet dominated by very imaginative creatures that have all taken it upon themselves to add a pepple of information to that mountain of confusion that is life =)
Besides, if complicated things didn't exist, us IT guys would be out of a job =D

Wish I knew. Just like this bandaid on my finger from when I slammed my hand in the door is going to screw with my typing skills today. Jeeze, as if I'm not already the typo queen. The good thing about it is it's on the "wrong" finger, so I have a valid reason for flipping people off...ya know...to show them my booboo, lol.

Honey, if I had the answer to that question, we all would be content! I think sometimes I make things more complicated than they need to be, why? Who knows, maybe to have something to think about? Life would be so much easier if we worked smarter not harder..... But you know what they say, easier said than done.....

You try reading the directions. They are printed in spanish, french, and ... because english speaking people are so stupid.. they put up pretty pictures for us.
