That pain is what our brain tells us it is, our experience of pain is not really real. Nerves take 'pain messages' to our brains from the site of the injury in our body - and our brain says 'Ow!!' = so when nerves are damaged people can feel pain even if there is no injury. For instance, most people experience 'phantom limb' pain at some point when they have a limb removed - they 'feel' pain in their non-existant limb. Also, if you have been in pain for a while your brain can start telling you that you're still in pain - even if the injury is not there anymore. Also psychological distress and trauma can be expressed in physical pain (psychogenic pain).

Light is a wave, but a particle at the same time. You can make the wave-function collapse to a particle just by watching at it. This is Quantummechnics. The Scientist Niels Bohr said: "If Quantum mechanics hasn't profoundly shocked you, you haven't understood it yet". It is really strange and interesting. The 100% deterministic/ Newtonian world is no more. Imagine the huge impact this has (and will have) on the traditional physics!

You're absolutely right about this and for this reason, I hardly ever take a pill of any kind. The same manner as you discuss the brain getting messages from different parts of the body telling it what's what and what should hurt, it is perfectly possible to relieve most pains with just special pressure points strategically located on the hands and feet and back, etc. Even the ear itself, if you take a good look at it, is shaped just the way of a fetus and anyone who knows acupuncture knows just which point represents what in order to tell the brain where to send the necessary energy to either ease the pain or have the immune system fight whatever ails the body... even the eyes reveal what is problematic inside the body... Massage, reflexology, etc. are so great in relieving pain, in such a wonderful and natural way, that, for many people nowadays, it has become a thing of the past to go to an actual physician for anything other than a necessary operation or a broken leg... and these ideas aren't new by any stretch of the imagination as they were found on the walls of Egyptian caves, where a whole line-up of people would be using "reflexology" pressure points on the feet of the other behind them, over four thousands years ago... There are so many scientific facts that I discovered over the years, but I chose this one as it is similar to your finding about the human body and how it works with its wonderful brain! One thing is for sure, knowledge, accurate knowledge, is a formidable power. As for psychogenic pain, even a good massage can very well sent it on its way, as it tells the body that the pain has been addressed and any blockage that caused it has been removed by the manipulating and massaging of the reflex zone which made the pain disappear. Even migraines go away like by magic... but it's all natural as endorphins are released which are at least fifty times stronger than morphine but can't hurt you or get you addicted in any way as it is your own body chemicals.

MOST INTERESTING?
I recently learned that our species descends from a group of beings alive 500 centuries ago---and this group was SMALL.
Perhaps 500 or 1,000 individuals.
In just 2,000 generations, variation among the descendants of these 1,998th great grandparents has resulted in the differences observed in 2007 of various populations.

Some interesting concepts/ theories related to Physics and Astronomy to me are..

1. Travelling into future by moving closer to the speed of light as per Theory of Special relativity. The faster you move, the slower the time gets for you.

2. The concept of Isotropic Universe, black holes, worm-holes, singularity. Astronomy is all amazing, just can't choose one single fact from it.
