Believe it or not, after posting the first couple of chapters of my book on a forum I'm a member of, several people there refused to read it because it contained "swear words", which were only limited to crap, hell, damn, and the like, nothing too major. (If that gets censored...maybe a little too major for yahoo.)
They also wouldn't read it because it contained what some would call "offensive religious material", meaning that my character spoke to Satan a couple of times, and discussed with him how he would get into Heaven. (The character, not the devil.)
One member even requested I change the plot of the book, altering the entire plot for the second book as well, otherwise she wouldn't read it. Why? Because a teen named Tom died in it, and the main character lived.
I think it mainly had to do with the harshness of my style of writing, and the swearing too, so yes, I am a sailor mouth, and it's lost me many readers.

I have a potty mouth. I tend to keep it under control when I don't want to offend people. But I tend to find cussing...cool. Ha, that sounds weird, but it's true.

Depends on who I am around. I usually try to present myself nicely...but when I am with people I am comfortable with, yes...I'm a bit of a sailor.

Unfortunately, yes I do. Sometimes I notice this when my young children repeat what I've said. Very embarrassing. I'm trying to curb it!

I've cut down on them since the last guy I crushed on died of shock after a conversation with me right after I fought with someone.
