Because he is a wise and humanitarian person regardless of his politics.

As a previous President of the United States he is entitled to respect from all Americans, including you, if only out of respect for his office. President Bush should have reprimanded and even fired the assistant press secretary who disrespected President Carter by publicly calling him irrelevant.

Not to mention he has won that Nobel Peace Prize (you think Bush will win one of those?), negotiated peace through diplomacy and knew when war wasn't necessary, and worked diligently with habitat for humanity and helped millions of people.

Because Jimmy Carter is a former U.S. President, and the last President to actually honor his oath of office. Since Carter, we have had puppets in the oval office, who serve a globalist fascist movement for economic dominance of the world. Both Republican and Democratic elected leadership are tools of the same evil conspiracy. The American public has been pretty much a non issue in American politics since Reagan, Carter was the last true plublic servant to sit in the White House, and people are just now starting to realize what was was lost over the past 25 years in America.

Not only is he a former president, he's a Nobel Prize winner. He started and continues to be very active in Habitat for Humanity. Any of those three things would be enough to make a person newsworthy. Gerald and Betty Ford stayed in the public eye after leaving the White House. The former presidents who didn't keep somewhat in the public eye either were already in a state of dementia, left the office in disgrace, or still kept in the public eye but kept a low profile so as not to make his son look too stupid. Are people too young to grasp the concept of Emeritus? All cultures have respect for their senior statesman.

Bravo to Jimmy Carter for his accomplishments during and after his presidency. As the creator of Habitat for Humanity and a Nobel Peace prize winner, he has earned the right to express his insights.

His statements about "pre-emptive attacks" by the Bush administration are absolutely spot on. There have been 700,000 deaths in the Middle East and 1.2 million very serious injuries.

The full truth will come out.

The media will use whatever means at their disposal to avoid topics which are important, or controversial to their agenda. By feeding us useless information and covering stories that don't really educate us as to what we really need to know they are fulfilling their goals and aspirations to keep us in the dark by not reporting what is most important.
The next time you're watching the news ask yourself if what their telling you is really important.
The next time they report how a celebrity flashed her panties at the paparazzi or an old president hit a hole in one while playing golf or more people prefer vanilla ice cream over chocolate, question what it is their obviously avoiding and why their avoiding it.
The media has really become nothing more than junk food for the brain.
If you want facts find them out for yourself but don't rely on the media for answers or explanations because you won't get any.
They think reporting an excessive amount of violence is a nice distraction from what they really don't want you to know as well.
So as a result they are going to feed you useless junk along with all the different aspects of crime and violence they can throw at you.
And your on the right track because your wondering why they want to keep spouting off about an old President that never did anything of any great importance to begin with.
But he is after all one of their own and they do like to scratch each others backs.
Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time or your brain watching the news
Even Fox News Integrity has been jeopardized.A Saudi Prince bought a substantial amount of shares and has control over what is reported and what is not.
You won't hear anything derogatory about Muslim Countries on Fox news anymore.
And you won't hear anything positive about our military and the war anymore.
At least not from the media you won't.

Jimmy Carter put in lots of hard work, even at his age, to make the lives of poor Americans and poor people worldwide better. He was President of the United States, and that makes his opinion about 5000 times more important than the opinion of Rush, Hannity, O'Reilly, or any other talking head. He's been in the office, he's held the job, he's one of only three living Americans who are qualified to really critique the President. The other two are named Bush (Sr) and Clinton.

Because he's been there and done that, and if some ones smart they will try to draw on that experience since the old saying about the Forrest and the trees seem to hold true. Any body who disses him, I would ask " You've been the leader of what?"

Jimmy Carter is not a has-been, or an also-ran.
He's doing meaningful stuff. Stuff that's responding to the people's needs. As long as anybody with influence is willing to do that selflessly, he deserves all the air time he can get.

He doesn't, when he says things that support the powers that be. He gets air time when his views are contrary to those of the powers that be, the same as all those ex generals get air time when they voice contrary views.

Controversy sells, and newspapers and TV stations need viewers to make a profit. The more controversy, the more people buy papers, or watch the news.

It's simple economics.

Beyond that, no one would care what you or I think. No one has any idea who we are.

Ask the News Media, as they consider all former Presidents to be newsworthy. They have to report on something. Do you think that Bush will fade into the past when his term is over?
