What if he was also screaming "You come here!", in German. I just ran, but I've always wondered about what, exactly, he wanted. This was in Germany, in case anyone thinks it's weird that he was screaming in German.

Well, your alive to tell the story. I dont care what country im in, if a man is running behind me in the woods, im getting the heck outta there. He could have been about to rape you or worse. Good thing you ran. It's hard to assume, but that just doesnt seem normal.

It depends...I hate to say this, but i'd be judgemental...In these cases, you've gotta be. If he was a smokin' hottie, hells yeah i'd see what he wanted. But if he was this weird, burly, Charles Manson-looking, guy, I would have taken off running. It's a defense mechanism. We all look at people and judge. Sometimes it to our advantage.

I would be a little worried too, depends on my location if anyone else was around, if he was in uniform, or if he had a bloody axe and a crazy look in his eye, these kind of things would dictate my response.

keep running!if he really wants to talk to you, he'll catch up.if he can't run as fast as you, then it is his problem, not yours.
p.s. if you glance back and notice that he's wearing a black and red striped sweater, run faster!!don't look back again.it's possibly the multi-lingual freddie kreuger!

It's good that you kept running. I don't think he had good intentions, unless he was a cop or smthg, and you were trespassing.
