for not protecting our country on 911? Where was our outrage? Where is it still?

Those high ranking heads have used a concocted war in Iraq to divert attention and distract us from their disregard for intelligence, their incompetence, and their failures which allowed 9/11 to happen. And the Katrina debacle. And the immigration debacle. And the list goes on...

The outrage is out there, but this administration has convinced many Americans that questioning their actions and decisions, and doubting their wisdom, are anti-American and unChristian. Oh yeah, and cowardly and ignorant.

And if you dare question this administration, they and their followers say that you are just "playing the blame game." You should look forward, support our fearless Leaders, and forget the fact that they lied and covered up intelligence to justify the war in Iraq, and never mind that their policies have cost America the moral high ground and our standing in the world, and forget about all the other mistakes they have made and disasters they have caused. Just follow the leader and don't look back...

EDIT: Oh, John_Galt0, you asked "Did anyone know that 20 terrorists were going to fly planes into buildings?..." Fact of the matter is, yes they did, or they would have if they had read their own intelligence briefing statements. But I guess that's just playing the blame game. Follow the leader and do whatever Simon says... And don't look back to the days when even the President was not above the law.

You must have some idea of whose heads should roll. Okay, lets go over some things. Did anyone KNOW that 20 terrorists were going to hijack planes and crash them killing over 3,000 people? No. Since you (the government in your name) can't fire civilians did any governmental or military people do something so wrong that doing otherwise would have changed the outcome? Remember, I said change the outcome. I don't think so. Think about it, if Bush had jumped into red tights and flew to NYC would anything have changed? Okay, how about before it happened. There had been warnings about hijacked airliners dating back to 1995. Did the Clinton administration leave word with the Bush people when he left office. Clinton says that he did, but numerous people; Richard Clark, Condi Rice, George Tennant say that no warning was left. Who is telling the truth? Condi Rice had a meeting a couple of days earlier about terrorism but it is up to the people with the info to make the boss understand why things are different this time. Of course, Bush lost 42 days in his transition because the Clinton White House refused to let Bush's people have information until after the whole recount mess was over. I am a conservative and a veteran so I might be biased. I think that Jamie Gorellik (sic) should have to explain why she made a rule that prohibited the FBI from talking to the CIA and the NSA when it came to terrorism. She was in the Clinton dept. of justice. I would like to know why (under oath) Bill Clinton did not either take custody of Usama when Sudan offered him or kill him when given the opportunity. I would have fired George Tennant (CIA head). I would have fired the head of the FBI when I found out that they had the information and the lap top of Moussai but did nothing with it. I would have also fired the agents in charge of the case unless I had good reason to think they did everything reasonable. There is the word, "reasonable". It was not reasonable to think anyone would have done what they did. Right! In 1997 the committee under Al Gore determined that airline security was lax especially when it came to securing the cockpit from attack. Recommendations were made, but the orders were never issued by Al Gore. Why? I don't know but the Democratic National Committee got a large cash contribution from the airline industry when the airlines didn't want to spend the money to protect the cockpit. Like Pearl Harbor there were visionaries who saw the future but were ignored by the establishment or shut down in the media. General Billy Mitchell predicted the attack on Pearl Harbor by 10 years and got court martialed for his insubordination.

Yes... but instead many key people were promoted.

This leads many people to wonder if the administration wanted this to happen and let it happen. Also, there appears to be many, many cover ups, including the disappearance of structural steel from all three collapsed WTC buildings.

We all need better answers and I'm outraged like many of the families of victims.

The fact that 9/11 was caused by religion (Jihad, Holy War, etc.) is suppressed. The religious leaders should have been raked over the coals.

The outrage is still festering, neo-cons hi-jacked it and have attempted to monopolize the world's oil supply instead of finding and killing the perpetrators of 9-11. We still don't know who really pulled off the attack on 9-11, and unfortunately we may never know the truth. I weep for America, the country I pledged alligence to as a child nolonger exists.

People are not perfect, much less our border or national security.

Crap is going to happen, history teaches that all too often. In the war of 1812, England marched into Washington and burned it to the ground!

The Q isnt are we going to expect perfection, play the blame game, and demand resignations everytime the wind doesnt blow our way? Or are we as Americans going to have a tough resolve, fight back, and preserve this institution of democracy, liberty, freedom, NFL, and college football!???????? Heck ya!!!
