What the meaning of life?

80% of humanity, the religious folks, don't need to ask the meaning of life, the church tells them....the supernatural explanation. But the rest of us can't swallow religious dogma, because there's no evidence. Nobody can prove that there life after death, that people are tortured or rewarded after life or that there's invisible spirits running around.

I've come to two conclusions recently:

1. Life has no meaning
2. Life has a million meanings.

First, there's a certainty that death and annihilation awaits not only you, but the Earth in general. It's an astonomical certainty that our sun will supernova and leave the earth a burnt crisp, not to mention all the other extinction level events around the corner.

Second, the million things that give us meaning are the pleasurable experiences we can conjure up during the short period we are here on the earth, in the form of the relationships we have with our kids and other people, and the 'housekeeping' types of purposes. What i mean by that are the curing disease, ending hunger, improving literacy, reducing crime, preventing war, helping other kinds of things.

So the bottom line is, we only have a temporary meaning to life, to reduce pain and increase pleasure, other than that everything is lost to oblivion.


To be or not to be? "To be" is temporary and "not to be" is inevitable.....

The meaning of life is been alive and not been dead. Life is vital. Manifest the qualities as of warmth, vigor, vitality, brightness, gestures, etc. It is an inner substancial power that works inside every being, that possess life. Character is distinguish in the animals, and vegetables out of other beings and it is manifest by the metabolism, growth, reproduction and adaptability to the ambient. It is the time that occur since birth to the dead.

There is another life for human being. A very important one. The spiritual life that comes to us through the Son of God, the Lord, Jesus Christ. Those that do not want to confess and receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and saviour are dead spiritualy and they will not have an eternal life with God.. Those that receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, will have and experience with Him, and will receive the Holy Spirit in their spirit, will receive spiritual life, and are save. Be bless.

Wouldnt it suck if the only meaning to life was to worship, die and then maybe if you worshipd enough, maybe you can live again but forever, wow, i mean the last part is great but i think Hiiii, has it wrong, as she put it, worship, die and live with god. I rather believe that if there is a God, then that god would rather me help others, be happy and love, then sit and worship him or w/e god is, if it is at all, al day, i mean common, life is great, live it, dont worry what happenes after death, death is going to come, weather you want it to or not, and if your a good person, love others, help others, and help yourself to live a good life, then if you die god will still accept you, i mean he/she/it is god, it loves all people, so live dont worship, go ahead go to church (if you want) but remember more importantly live life good, and death wont be so scary.

Life just is. It has no intrinsic, or built in meaning of it's own.

All the meaning that life will ever have is the meaning that you give to it.
