Well, honey... it could be pregnancy. Of course, any time you have unprotected sex (or even protected in some cases) there is a chance of pregnancy. Now, a week after a missed period may be too early to take a test. Some women are weeks into their pregnancies before a hpt will show up positive. I would wait another week and try again. If it comes up + then you can go from there. If still - but you think you still are preg go to the doctor's and ask for a blood test. However, it could be stress.. sometimes stress at different times affects the same person in different ways.
Whatever happens, I wish you the best of luck.

Wait about a week. If your period doesn't come by then, take another HPT. If that's negative, and you're still not getting a period, then it's time to see a doctor for a real pregnancy test (or to determine if something else is wrong).

The same thing happened to me and I was pregnant. I took the test too early and it came up negative. I had really bad cramps, but I knew they were not period cramps. They were kind of like sharp pains. Wait a few more days and then take another test.

Many things cause a missed period besides pregnant. Have you changed your diet? Started exercising? Wait a few days and re-test with first morning urine. If it's still negative go to the doctor and get checked!

us women are complicated things!!!! it could be anything but i wouldnt rule out pregnancy, sometimes if u do a test too early it wont show positive if you are pregnant, my periods were always all over the place and a lot of the time it was just stress, or a holiday or something different. bizarre!!!!

If you're feeling tired a lot as well then you may be suffering from hypothyroidism. Are you gaining weight without a reason? my periods became very sporadic when my thyroid quit. Go to the docs and have a blood test done.

Have you changed your diet? taking any medication? exercises? Too many things could be causing the delay. If I were you, I'd wait until next week, have another test and then go to the doctor's for a full check up.

It could be anything. Sounds more like menstrual pains than pregnancy ones.
There are dozens of things, including you just being late or even anxiety that you haven't noticed!. If you are concerned see a physician, and you should, to rule out pregnancy or any other issue!
